Sports And Photography

When it comes to sports, there are many different categories, but in this blog, we will mainly focus on one of the best football teams ever, the Olympics, and some interesting facts that many people are unaware of, different reasons why women's cricket is not seen as much as men's cricket, and finally some of the best sports photographs.

What is the history of a well-known sports team and why has it been so successful?

FC Barcelona

Barcelona is arguably one of the best football clubs in the world. They are famous for producing incredible players with jaw-dropping abilities.

Team of Barcelona FC that won their first Copa del Rey in 1910.

In1899, Jan Gamper, along with a group of foreigners, founded FC Barcelona.
This is a look at some of the best players to grace the pitch for this amazing club. There is a range of players who are on this list for their various abilities on the pitch.

We would love to hear comments on players you think would be good additions.

Key players of this team

Lionel Messi : Passed 100 goal mark. Two-time world player of the year.

Ronaldinho : He's known for his incredible free-kicks and ball movement.

Maradona: He's won several accolades and is a fantastic player.

 Xavi: Team's flow controller.

What makes the team so great?

Many individuals have pondered for years what makes the Barcelona squad so famous. Is it because of a few players and their fan following, or is it due to the club's success?
Barcelona is famed even though it does not reach the finals every time.

First and foremost, every Barcelona player is adored.
The Treble Is a Possibility, to be considered the greatest of all time, trophies must be won. Luckily, this Barcelona team is in a great position to possibly win the treble.
Barcelona has enjoyed great success due to its world-famous La Masia academy. But, this may be one of the best years for youth involvement in the first team.
Young stars such as Martin Montoya, Thiago, and Cristian Tello are all stepping up hugely, making La Blaugrana better than ever.
Every great team needs its non-stars to perform, and those at Barcelona certainly are.

Indian National Cricket Team

 (  Women In Blue )

The first team that comes to mind when we think about Indian cricket is normally the men's team, but let us discover more about why the women's team isn't as well-known as the men's team, and what the many reasons are. Let's compare and contrast the men's and women's teams.

1. Coaches

Coaches for the men in blue are Ravi Shastri (Head coach), Bharat Arun (bowling coach), and Ramakrishnan Sridhar (Fielding coach).
Ramesh Powar is the women's team's coach.

2. Earnings

In India, female cricketers are at a disadvantage to their male counterparts because, while they must spend the same amount of money to develop their skills, they earn a fraction of what males do, and the amount of money each player receives per match is vastly different. They (women) do not receive a large sum of money from the IPL. However, in 2018, BCCI began an IPL-style tournament as a test.

3. Concerning the ground rules

As a result, there isn't much of a difference in the rules for men's and women's teams, but women's cricket boundaries are very narrow, measuring no more than 60 to 65 meters. In women's cricket, the ball's weight must be somewhere in the middle (139.98 to 150.61 grams). For men, it is between (about 155.9–163 gm).

4. Popularity and audience size

Women's cricket is tedious to watch, despite physical differences such as ball size and ground size. The bowling speeds are similar to or even slower than a 14-year-old boys' team. This is why their viewership is so low, and they no longer have a broadcaster. This is probably true of almost all women's sports, except for tennis, badminton, and the Olympics.

5. IPL

Although there is a women's IPL, it has a much lower attendance rate than the men's IPL, which is one of the main reasons for the women's cricket team's bad reputation and low popularity.

6. Female athletes and their fan base

When we watch men's cricket, the bulk of the fans are males and even women, and we become so engrossed in the game that we would follow it until the last bowl, but these things are not the same when it comes to watching women's cricket. It isn't particularly exciting. Indeed, the situation of women's cricket in the country would not improve unless the country's women take an interest in the sport.
A sport is nothing without its fans.

Olympics

  • Summer Olympics
  • Winter Olympics
  • Paralympics Olympics

Facts:

Only five sports have been contested at every summer Olympic Games since 1896: Athletics, Cycling, Fencing, Gymnastics and Swimming.

The Olympic schedule currently includes 35 different sports, 53 categories, and over 400 events. The Summer Olympics have 28 sports across 38 disciplines, whereas the Winter Olympics feature seven sports across 15 disciplines.

The Olympic Games and Youth Olympic Games are centered on the three essential values of Olympism: excellence, respect, and friendship.

In the field of play or in our professional lives, excellence requires giving it our all.
There are just three countries that are not represented in any way during the Olympic Games at the time of writing. They're from Greenland, Vatican City, and Kuwait.

Participation of women in Olympic games

Women's involvement in Olympic games is lower than men's, but whatever the rate is, it is based on the fact that the majority of women participate in swimming.

Unknown and interesting facts:

Although everyone is aware of the world's fastest runner, Usain Bolt of Jamaica, and the world's fastest swimmer, Dressel, only a few are aware of the world's slowest person, Shizo Kanakuri of Japan.

1. Gold medals are made up of silver
The modern Olympic Gold Medal is entirely constructed of silver, with about 6 games of gold. 80,000 kg of discarded electronics were used to create the medals for the Tokyo Olympics

2. Only three modern Olympic Games have been canceled

The games were canceled due to World War I (1916) and World War II (1940, 1944).
And postponed due to covid-19.

3.  At least one of the Olympic Rings' colors appears in every national flag
Olympic ring colors: red, yellow, blue, black, green

4. Only two people have ever won gold medals during the Summer and Winter Olympics

Gillis Grafstrom and Eddie Eagan hold this distinction. Grafstrom, from Sweden, won gold in figure skating in the 1920 Summer Olympics as well as the 1924 and 1928 Winter Games.
Eagan accomplished this feat in different disciplines, taking home gold in boxing in 1920 and later winning a gold medal at the 1932 Lake Placid Winter Games in the team bobsled event.

5. Two athletes have won gold medals competing for two different nations

Daniel Carrol first won gold in Rugby representing Australia in 1908 and then again in 1920 for the United States. Kakhi Kakhiashvili won his first gold medal in Men’s Weightlifting competing as part of the Unified Team in the 1992 Barcelona Games, and later as a Greek citizen in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics.
